To all our readers who have been waiting so patiently for the next book in our Appalachian Journey series…
Moonfixer just went live on Kindle! Yay! For the time being, it will only be available on Kindle but the print edition is in the works as is the audio edition. It will also be available on Nook, Kobo, Sony, Apple, etc., in a couple of months–or sooner depending on when we get the formatting worked out. We’ll post here when each version goes live so stay tuned!
We want to thank each and everyone of you for your patience and for making 2013 such a joyful and memorable year for us! We wish all of you a very merry Christmas and a safe and healthy 2014!

I just finished Whistling Woman, and loved it so much that I immediately bought Moonfixer, and have just started reading it. I referenced Whistling Woman in my latest blog post entitled Customs and Mores. I apologize for saying that Bessie was your grandmother, but that is what I thought I remembered. Anyway, you can see my post at wakingofthebear.com. Thanks for sharing this wonderful story.

So, is Loney your grandmother, or maybe Jack? Or is Roy your grandfather?

Jack (Frances Ann) is our dad’s mother. She doesn’t play a big part in Moonfixer but in the next book…well, let’s just say she has a bigger role in it–don’t want to give away any spoilers!
Thanks again for featuring Whistling Woman on your blog!

Just finished Moonfixer and loved it! Fell in love with Bessie and Fletcher all over again. Wish I had her knowledge and could have known her. She was a remarkable person. The respect and love she and her husband shared seems to be a rarity these days. One I envy.
I am waiting most anxiously for your next in the series I believe I read is Charming Gardeners. Please write once again with carfulness to timeless quality your Bessie deserves as well as your readers will enjoy and pass on.
Waiting oh so in anticipation,
Wanda Johnson

Hi Wanda, I wish you could’ve known Aunt Bessie, too. In fact, I wish all our readers could meet her. She was, as you say, a remarkable woman and even though she died when Christy and I were very young, she’s always stayed with us. Of course, that may have more to do with the fact that our dad has so many stories about her and Uncle Fletch but I know it’s also because she was such a warm and happy person, always smiling and more often than not, singing. We are doing our best to bring her to life for our readers and hope Aunt Bessie–and Uncle Fletch, too!–are pleased with the books. Thanks for your lovely comment!
